About this event

  • Event lasts 2 days

Explore the uncanny valley and embark on a journey of unpredictable type creation.

In this workshop during DDW, you will first learn general techniques for working with generative AI. You will then use this knowledge to instruct various custom models to create your own typefaces. After an exploratory phase, you will end up with a cohesive set of co-created fonts and present them through type specimens printed on a risograph.

The workshop will be hosted by Paul Eßer and Francesco Scheffczyk, both research assistants at KITeGG. The workshop is based on their research about the democratisation and accessibility of AI interfaces.
