🌀 Timescaping Session: Imagine the Year 2125

Are you ready to be surprised by your own imagination?

It’s the year 2125. Society has transformed.

Are those changes driven by new technologies? A shift in values? New forms of relationships?

You’ll explore the answers, guided by your own imagination.

Timescaping is the practice of imagining aspects of society 100 years into the future, a horizon far enough to transcend current trends, yet close enough to feel like an extension of today.

By turning the doomsday volume down a notch 📉, we can think more clearly about resilient, collaborative, and intelligent futures. But if your imagination leans dystopian, that’s welcome too! 👾

🧭 What to Expect

This interactive session is part game, part collective thought experiment, and part mental reset. With the help of carefully crafted prompts you’ll stretch your imagination, alone and with others.

The session is facilitate by Cristian, which will guide you through:

🔹 Future-themed icebreakers to loosen the brain

🔹 Group activities

🔹 One-on-one conversations with fellow participants

Together, we’ll explore questions like:

✨ Would you rather live with an AI partner that perfectly meets your needs, or a flawed but real human?

✨ If no one had to work, how would we define purpose?

✨ How might we care for each other in a world that has redefined life, death, and community?

And others on themes like: Amortality, Post-work society, Mixed Reality, Climate Restoration, Space Colonization, Android Rights, Quantum Computers, Augmented Humans, Shared Minds, Bioengineering, Space Geopolitics, Mars Terraforming, General Artificial Intelligence, New Social Contracts, Virtual communities, AI powered governance, Consciousness Upload, Robot pets…

The more we talk about the future, the more we end up talking about ourselves.”

Timescaping isn’t about predicting what will happen.

It’s about exploring what could happen, and in doing so, revealing the assumptions we hold today.

🗣️ After previous sessions, I asked the participants:

“What’s in it for you? ” Here’s what came up:

  • A mental reset for long-term thinking. It acts as a primer for what happens next. Participants break free from immediate concerns and step into a world where constraints are lifted.
  • A fresh sense of possibility. Projecting 100 years into the future creates space for radical yet relevant ideas, helping participants see today’s challenges from new perspectives.
  • A hopeful perspective. Instead of feeling weighed down by uncertainty, participants leave energized and excited about the future. Imagining progress, rather than just reacting to crises, shifts the mindset toward opportunity.
  • Deeper conversations. The session unlocks discussions that don’t happen in everyday life and elevates morale.
  • Engaging different modes of thinking. Participants describe it as activating new brainwaves, stepping beyond the usual analytical mindset into a more fluid, speculative, and systemic way of thinking.

22nd Century Hub is a space to explore what society might look like 100 years from now. Through Timescaping sessions, workshops, and interactive events, it challenges us to think beyond short-term trends and stretch our imagination in a world that’s changing faster than ever.

At the core of 22nd Century Hub is Timescaping, the practice of envisioning life a century into the future. A horizon far enough to free us from the limits of today’s thinking, yet close enough to feel real. But it’s not just about imagining the future, it’s also about understanding each other. When we discuss a world 100 years from now, we reveal what we value, what we fear, and what truly matters to us, often in ways that bypass the usual debates.

22nd Century Hub is a space for deep, playful, and thought-provoking conversations. It brings together futurists, creatives, and curious minds to explore bold ideas, challenge assumptions, and gain a broader perspective on how our choices today shape the long-term future.
