From Uganda to Japan and from Brazil to the Netherlands, Slow Food Youth Network (SFYN) Amsterdam is joining forces for World Disco Soup Day. On this day, all over the world, we throw parties where organizers and visitors turn food waste into a disco soup!
This year we host a corona proof edition. We take care of the soup, you take care of the disco. Curious how?
We do all the chopping, boiling and prepare the soup. From our partners we receive food that otherwise would be thrown away and our chef Andreas Chrysomallis makes a delicious soup out of it.
You register for this event and choose a timeslot that is suitable for you. ITS FREE!
On the 24th of April, you can pick up the soup at the brand new location of Buurtbuik Oud Zuid (community center Lydia in Amsterdam) during your time slot. We will be connecting to the rest of the world online. Get a glimpse of how the World Disco Soup Day is celebrated around the world!
We encourage you to bring your own take away container for the soup #lesswaste. If you do not have a container, we will provide you one to take away.
