You are cordially invited to help celebrate ‘When The Lambs Rise Up Against The Bird Of Prey’, a poem by Anne Boyer.
Together we will explore what it means to be a lamb among other lambs while disrupting sweaters as a materialization of embodied social relationships and subjectivity. While sharing skills we will remake existing sweaters into garments that can shelter multiple people. Materials will be provided, but feel free to take your favorite needles, threads, fabrics, pins, patches, etc. as well as all your wonderful knowledge and textile inventiveness, whether not-yet-existing or built up through years of practice.
The 4-hour workshop, will be interrupted by moments of collective stretching and breathing exercises. In addition, a collection of texts will be available in the space for us to read aloud to one another.
