2-Session Workshop

Looking for a peaceful, creative escape this spring? Join us for a beginner-friendly knitting workshop where you’ll learn to knit the continental way—holding the yarn in your left hand—while working on your first project: a light, colorful summer scarf. This two-part experience is perfect for anyone who wants to build a handmade summer wardrobe or simply slow down with a mindful new skill.

Session 1 – Learn the Basics
📍 New Order of Fashion Lab, Strijp-S
📅 Saturday, May 17 | 10:00 – 12:30
You’ll learn how to cast on, work the knit and purl stitches using continental technique, and change colors if desired. Expect a calm and creative atmosphere with plenty of room for questions and personal attention.

Session 2 – In Nature: Finishing Your Project
📍 Natuurpoort De Plaetse, Heeze (Strabrechtse Heide, Schaapskooi)
📅 Saturday, May 24 | 10:00 – 12:30
We'll meet outdoors at the sheepfold, where you can witness the sheep shearing and learn more about the journey from wool to yarn. Then we’ll sit together in nature to finish your scarf, learning to cast off and weave in ends in a relaxed and inspiring setting.

Materials
Bring your own yarn and circular knitting needles or purchase Dutch wool on-site at New Order of Fashion. We recommend yarn suitable for 4.0–4.5 mm needles—ideal for beginners and easy to work with. If you're bringing your own, feel free to choose what you like, but do check your label for a similar needle size.

Language
This workshop is held in Dutch and English. We’ll adjust the instruction language as needed to make sure everyone can follow comfortably.

Who is this for?
Anyone looking to learn to knit or to try continental knitting for the first time. No experience needed—just a bit of curiosity and a love for making things with your hands.

1. Your registration for will be complete once full payment has been made.
2. Tickets are only valid for the date and time specified in your purchase.
3. All tickets are refundable up to one week before the day of this event. After that, the reservation cannot be cancelled. However, if for any reason you are unable to attend, you can email me at info@kd-crafts.nl and provide me with the name of a substitute to attend the workshop on your behalf.
4. This activity will only be possible with a minimum of 4 participants. If the number of participants does not reach this requirement or, if for any other reason I am forced to cancel this workshop, you will be notified and the registration fee you have paid will be fully refunded.
5. Photos and videos may be taken during the workshop for marketing purposes on social media. Please let me know if you prefer not to appear on them.
