Equals strives for equality and more diversity in the workforce. We are committed to supporting women* in the growth and development of their careers. By working together, and by celebrating and championing our members and partners, we bring out the best in everybody.
The problem
- Only 8 % of all startups in Amsterdam have a woman as founder.
- Only 8% of investments in Amsterdam went to women-led startups.
- Only 18 % of people working in tech in the Netherlands are women, while this is the fastest growing industry.
- 10th place in Europe when it comes to the representation of women leaders and women working in the European Tech Startup Ecosystem (report by Startup Genome).
What we do
We operate based on three pillars
Visibility : We’re creating more visibility for inspiring women, because role models are important for changed behaviour and beliefs.
Academy : We’re creating education and career opportunities for women in tech and entrepreneurship.
Memberclub : We’re creating a community of ambitious women that are here to connect, grow, support and empower each other.
