The Jester of the Crown is an immersive performance art experience that explores the themes of identity, authority, and transformation, using music, movement, and ritual. The participants are invited to attend a piano concert that gradually transforms into a movement meditation and with a ritual closure. The Jester of the Crown invites participants to engage in a ceremony that explores the fluidity of identity, the tension between authority and self-awareness.
The program of the concert is carefully crafted through symbolism and meditation techniques, presented in an interdisciplinary formula. Drawing on the contrasting characters of R. Schumann's Carnaval op.9 and Carnaval of the Animals by Saint-Saëns, pianist Daria Fedorchenko and ceremony facilitator Hannah Rojer will guide this interactive musical ritual that blurs boundaries between self and other, human and animal, and external and internal authority.
