Process Mining Mishaps Night @ ICPM

Welcome to the very first Process Mining Mishaps Night, a special side-event of the ICPM where speakers share quick anecdotes about the mistakes that shaped their process mining journey and the valuable lessons learned.

Event Concept
We often learn the most from our mistakes. By openly discussing the errors we've encountered, we can help each other avoid them in the future—and have some fun in the process.

Event Details

  • ICPM: This is a non-official side event of the International Conference on Process Mining, meant for process mining practitioners visiting the conference.
  • Proximity: The location for this event, Microsoft’s office in Copenhagen, is a short walk or cycle from the conference's main venue.
  • Transparency: To encourage open and honest sharing, this event will be live and will not be recorded.
  • Refreshments: Snacks and drinks will be provided to keep the conversations lively.
  • Limited Capacity: Seating is limited, so make sure to join the waitlist now!

Call for Speakers:
The agenda is tentative as we are still accepting speaker applications. If you have a process mining mishap to share with the community, we'd like to encourage you to fill in this form to get a spot on stage.

About the Organizers:

- Michal Sroka: A data scientist at Microsoft with over a decade of experience in AI and process mining, which also means over a decade of mishaps.

- Lotte Vugs: The CEO & co-founder of Konekti, on a mission to empower process miners by simplifying and accelerating the creation of event logs. She has lost count of the number of process mining mishaps she has made.
