January invites us to pause, recalibrate, and attune to the slower rhythms of nature. This event honors the natural cycles of the season and the New Moon in Capricorn—a time for deep introspection and gentle intention-setting. The warm and wonderful Jaimie McIntyre will guide you on this experience


In Jaime’s words,

To me, January has always felt like a strange time to hit GO.


While society gears up for high energy resolutions, the bears are hibernating and the trees are still resting. Everything in nature communicates to us to slow down.


Yes, January signals a start to a New Year, but astrologically, the New Year doesn’t begin until April, when Spring breathes fresh energy into our lives. That’s when I start to feel my energy ramp up again.


This gathering is an invitation to honor the natural rhythm of the seasons and their energy.


It's a chance to honor the upcoming full moon in Cancer: A perfect time to turn inward and reflect on the past year, restoring our bodies, slowing down, and allowing ourselves to fully pause. Every muscle, every cell, every fiber of our being receives a solid break to surrender to the energy of the moment.


And then, if it feels right, we will plant tiny seeds of intention and gently cover them with an insulating blanket of soil to give them the protection and nutrients they need to sprout in their own time, slowly emerging and growing in the months to come.

What is hypnotherapy?

Hypnosis is a gentle yet powerful tool that allows you to tap into your subconscious mind, uncovering hidden memories, beliefs, and insights. You will be guided through meditation into a deeply relaxed state where you will gain access to your subconscious.

Do I need to bring anything?

A notebook & pen (Optional) Something to add to the altar (a crystal or other item that you value. It will contribute to the energy of the altar and the sound bath will clean its energy. Items will be taken with you following the event. (Optional) Warm socks

How can I prepare for the event?

Make sure you’ve eaten enough before the session. There will be cacao and light snacks, but it’s best not to arrive hungry. Don’t drink too much caffeine before the event. One or two cups is ok if that’s what you’re used to.

What should I wear?

Wear warm, comfortable clothes. The location will be warm. But sometimes your body temperature drops during these sessions, so it can be good to wear layers.

When Nature Calls - Center for Self Optimisation is located at Prinsengracht 581, Amsterdam. Note that this is a different location than the When Nature Calls store.
