Bouke Bruins creates public space interventions through his Boyscout Designer approach, combining a social designer’s critical perspective with the hands-on and resourceful mindset of a scout. His rule-bending interventions include Boyscout Infra, a series of reimagined traffic signs that playfully address the constant disruptions caused by road closures and the distinct visual language they bring to our daily routes; or In Verhouding Tot, where he measured and marked the distances between city objects, encouraging proposals for future urban hacks.

Bouke Bruins (NL) is a social designer creating playful interventions in public spaces, ranging from guerrilla actions to collaborative projects with municipalities. His work aims to entertain, provoke dialogue, or do both. He is a member of the collective De Reuringdienst.
