Introducing WE@THE PARLOUR, a brand new initiative by PARLOUR Amsterdam & Alessia Balducci that aims to create a platform for everyone to celebrate, meet, and learn from powerful women, LGBTQIA+ people, and minority communities here in Amsterdam every Wednesday, with a curated, cross-industry mix of engaging masterclasses, workshops, and events organised by some truly amazing humans.
This time, WE @ THE PARLOUR presents "Effective Creative Leadership in the World of Production” by Zena Wood! This workshop is designed for emerging and established producers looking to refine their creative leadership skills, maximize resources, and develop a strong foundation for leading projects in film, live events, creative productions, and their own artistic projects.
Learning Objectives:
- Discover the key roles in film/stage production, and how to clearly define them
- Explore creative leadership and discover your own leadership style in a safe, non-judgemental space
- How do you monetize your projects? How can you use the resources on hand to make the most of every production?
- Learn to pull out and focus on the big picture at every stage of the production process
More about Zena Wood
Zena Wood is an accomplished producer with over 13 years of experience leading film, commercial, and live productions across New York, Amsterdam, and South Africa. She is the writer and director of two original documentaries, one of which won Best Documentary Short at the Cannes Short Film Festival. Zena served as line producer and 1st Assistant Director on the feature film The Blacklight, which enjoyed a theatrical run in AMC Theaters across the United States in 2022. She is also the founder of Space Weather Girl, a collaborative production house which writes, edits, develops and produces projects which aim to inspire, inform and evolve. (www.spaceweathergirl.com). She has produced for many esteemed companies such as BBC, ITV, Coty and Scentbird New York.
Zena is deeply committed to fostering healthy and safe environments for crews and teams. This passion led to her completing her MBA in Leadership and Sustainability. After a Bachelors in Humanities, she studied musical theater at Waterfront Theatre College and film at New York Film Academy.
