"Voices in Harmony" originated from the unique bond between our alto saxophonist, Ayleen Weber, and her sister, mezzo-soprano Sarina Weber.
Program:
The Threepenny Opera (Die Dreigroschenoper)
Composer: Kurt Julian Weill (1900–1950)
Premiered: 1928
Dive into the gritty allure of Weimar-era Berlin, where Weill’s unforgettable melodies and Brecht’s sharp social commentary collide. Expect an evening charged
with the irresistible drama and dark humor of this iconic work.
Le Bestiaire ou Cortège d’Orphée
Composer: Francis Jean Marcel Poulenc (1899–1963)
Composed: 1919
Poulenc’s whimsical setting of Apollinaire’s animal-inspired poems whisks audiences into a surreal, playful world. This modern French masterpiece sparkles with charm,
bringing to life Orpheus’s poetic animal parade.
Frauenliebe und -leben, Op. 42
Composer: Robert Alexander Schumann (1810–1856)
Composed: 1840
Schumann’s romantic song cycle follows a woman’s journey through love, from the first stirrings of affection to profound loss. Set to Chamisso’s poetry, each song paints
a deeply human portrait of love’s joys and heartbreak.
La Regata Veneziana
Composer: Gioachino Antonio Rossini (1792–1868)
Composed: 1835
This lively series of three canzonettas, written in Venetian dialect for mezzo-soprano, were first performed at one of Rossini’s renowned soirées. Depicting a Venetian boat
race through the eyes of a young woman, the songs capture a range of emotions— from the excitement of rivalry to the tenderness of love. After her lover, Momolo,
wins the regatta, he presents her with a red flag of victory, which she returns with a kiss.

Biografie Titkos Saxofoonkwartet:
Hello! สวัสดี! Grüezi! 你好! Olá! We are the Titkos Saxophone Quartet, a passionate ensemble formed in 2021 within the renowned saxophone class of Arno Bornkamp at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. Our group name, “Titkos,” meaning “mystery” in Hungarian, reflects our starting point that began in an unexpected and mysterious way, thanks to one of our founding members, Timot Magyary from Hungary. In 2024, we were honoured to be finalists at the Liceu Sax Festival in Barcelona, where we showcased our dedication and artistry on an international stage. Our recent tour in Switzerland was a great success, featuring three memorable concerts and an inspiring collaboration with the esteemed mezzo-soprano Sarina Weber. Additionally, we have had the privilege of participating in masterclasses with renowned teachers, including Nobuya Sugawa (JPN), Simon Diricq (BE), Nicolas Arsenijevic (FR) and Thomas Barthelemy (SPN), which have greatly enriched our musicianship and artistic vision.
Together, we are committed to pushing the boundaries of saxophone music and sharing our passion with audiences worldwide. We look forward to future projects and
collaborations that celebrate the beauty of diversity in music.

The Swiss mezzosoprano Sarina Weber received her Bachelor and Master of Arts with distinction from the Zurich University of the Arts under Prof. Lina Maria Åkerlund.
She received valuable impulses from renowned personalities such as Margreet Honig, Sandra Trattnigg, Ivan Konsulov, Dr. Flavio Ferri-Benedetti as well as Marcin Koziel,
Michael Richter, Hans Adolfsen and Christoph Berner. The singer discovered her passion for dance and acting at a young age, which laid the foundation for her love of opera. In 2020, her talent was recognized with the coveted Friedl Wald Scholarship. Sarina Weber made her debut as an opera singer at the age of just 18 in the role of the second lady in W.A. Mozart's opera "The Magic Flute" (2017 - Arbon, Presswerk Cultural Center). Since then, she has performed roles such as Ramiro in W.A Mozart's "La finta giardiniera" (2021 - Zurich, Theater der Künste), Nicklausse and La Voix in Offenbach's "Les contes d'Hoffmann" (2023/24 - Swiss tour) and Mrs. Pearce in Loewe's "My fair Lady" (2023 - Arbon, Kulturzentrum). In addition to her career on stage, Sarina Weber has a wide-ranging concert repertoire, is a welcome guest on the Swiss cultural scene, and a beloved singing teacher.
