Saxophone player Nuno Silva and Autarkh Collective both reside in the music studios of Paradox, where their first collaboration came to fruition during the Autarkh III set at Roadburn festival 2022. With backgrounds ranging from ambient to metal and jazz/fusion, the combination with a musician like Nuno – rooted in classical and contemporary music – brings different worlds and approaches together in an exciting and fully improvised musical journey. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1RPcWnY0neJyGaMTG_g8vzTOmdYCwrDxh/view?usp=sharing
AUTARKH COLLECTIVE is a group of music adventurers from Tilburg (NL) that explore artistic universes in various stylistic contexts. They’ve been operating as experimental metal quartet AUTARKH since 2019 and have released the albums Form In Motion (2021) and Emergent (2023) on French record label Season Of Mist.
The opportunity arose in 2023 to collaborate in a completely free improvisation setting together with the experimental synth-improv of Drone Assembly and electronic music wizard Kypski during the ‘secret artists in residence’ program at Best Kept Secret festival. The group decided to dive into free improvisation in their characteristic atmospheric context, which resulted in the birth of AUTARKH COLLECTIVE. www.autarkh.com-www.youtube.com/c/autarkh
